Small business owners tend to pour their heart and soul into their companies.. and that goes double for Kelsey Morey, the owner of Haus of Pretty in Westport. She recently opened a brand new renovated Studio right across from the Westport train station which literally takes my breath away with its beauty and simplicity…
I still remember the day I did a Google search for "coffee shop" as I brought paint supplies into my then-new photo Studio space in Riverside Connecticut (I was starting a somewhat intensive renovation process).. and Ada's Kitchen + Coffee came up. They had just opened up themselves and were making big waves in the community. Not only was there a desperate need for a breakfast/lunch eatery in Riverside, but Ada's took it to a level not often seen in such a small spot. The food was absolutely incredible. The coffee.. best in the area. And as I got my Studio painted and set up, I discovered that Ada's Kitchen + Coffee pretty much did everything really really well.
And that is when I met the family behind Ada's, Krista and Mike. I loved what they were doing within the community and wanted to contribute in whatever small way I could (when you go into the shop, you can see my work on the wall featuring their customers). Their coffee and delicious breakfast options keep me going.. and the seasonal menu makes frequent visits exciting and new.
There's a lot I can say about this little spot.. because the quality and creativity of the menu is on par with the best restaurants in the area. The employees are always welcoming and friendly, even though they work hard to handle an incredible number of clients each day. And I feel so fortunate to have Ada's so close to my Studio. To to able to fuel up for my sessions. And yes, I'm super excited for the burger that is back on the menu for the Summer!
And if you haven't been yet, make sure to visit Ada's Kitchen + Coffee at 112 Riverside Ave, Greenwich Connecticut. They open at 6:30am on weekdays and 8am on weekends. And everything is absolutely DELICIOUS.
As some of you may already know, I love working with local small businesses. Recently, I had the opportunity to create lifestyle product imagery for METTA 10, a soon-to-be-launched collection of ethical and sustainable fashion and home decor. Not only are their products absolutely gorgeous and really high-quality, but the company was also founded by two local Westport women…
