Brand Photography for METTA 10
As some of you may already know, I love working with local small businesses. Recently, I had the opportunity to create lifestyle product imagery for METTA 10, a soon-to-be-launched collection of ethical and sustainable fashion and home decor. Not only are their products absolutely gorgeous and really high-quality, but the company was also founded by two local Westport women.
An important aspect of the METTA 10 philosophy is giving back to others and making a difference in the world. They work only with artisanal, handmade products in order to ensure quality and originality, while at the same time maintaining strict standards on ethical work environments and sustainable goods. And I love that every purchase goes to support communities around the world, generates meaningful income for global artisans, and promotes ethical practices that make a difference!
We have so many options nowadays. We can shop at the convenience and click of a button. And all those dollars are our way of telling companies what is important to us. There are so many large corporations that focus on providing the cheapest most disposable items with no concern for the methods they use to achieve that result. It's important to understand that we make a choice every single day between disposable/cheap and high-quality products that are more expensive but will last. I think it's important to take a minute and actually think about the objects we surround ourselves with! I know for a fact that if I purchase something that is truly beautiful, hand-made, and well designed, I will feel happy and grateful whenever I use that object! The point is, we all need to be more mindful of the THINGS we buy.. and the companies we buy them from!
So it's no wonder that it brings me great joy to see a local business whose mission is to not only provide superior products, but also benefit people around the world doing it.
