Jolie Gotique is a mobile fashion boutique based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Penny, the owner, is a local Greenwich resident with an amazing fashion style that she infuses into her business. Twice a year, Penny gathers a team of creative professionals to do a spring (and then a fall) photoshoot for her business. It takes a team (photographer, stylist, hair & makeup artist), and a new location each time to make this happen.
It has been my honor to work with some of the best local businesses in Fairfield County. One of my favorites is Stella M'Lia, a tween- and teen-centric brand of special occasion dresses based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Stella M'Lia dresses are absolutely gorgeous. They're high-quality fashionable designer pieces that any girl would love to wear.. and it was such a pleasure to photograph five incredible young girls doing just that (some are professional models, while others have never modeled before)...
I photographed Emma last year. She was just about to move to Washington DC and join a ballet dance company for a year of learning and dancing. We created dance portraits for her that showcased her graceful movements but also focused on her as a person first (because, let's face it, most photographers just focus on the dancing).
Ella & Henry's Spring 2017 fashion show was a wonderful showcase of latest kids and tween fashion trends, including outfits from Steiff, bellybutton, Stella M'Lia, and Papermoon, and beautiful flower crowns by BOW&ROSE. I have the distinct pleasure of photographing the fashion show, but I also set up a mini-studio downstairs and take fashion portraits of the kids before and after the big event.
It would be impossible to share all my favorites from our Stella M'Lia photoshoot!
We had a total of eight models who traveled to my Greenwich photo studio for the day. We were thrilled to work with local girls who loved the brand, and models from a little further away who were excited to discover these gorgeous dresses for themselves. The consensus among the girls was definitely that the dresses were super comfortable, absolutely beautiful.. and perfect for all the Fall parties that are happening right now.
It probably doesn't quite feel like it, but Spring is right around the corner (woohoo!). To celebrate, and show off some awesome Spring styles, Ella & Henry will be having a Kids Fashion Show at the store on Saturday, February 27th (sign up to attend by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org). I'm pretty excited about it, and will be on hand to photograph all the cute kids walking the runway. :D
To promote Ella & Henry's Fashion Show, we did a mini fashion photoshoot with a few of my favorite youngsters. Everyone had so much fun trying on clothes for the photos (I'm a big fan of letting kids choose what they wear). It was pretty lively.. and you can see some of my favorites from the shoot below.
